To celebrate this day, we created a special bonsai tree with the help of the community. This collective work was made from recycled materials from other construction projects (pipes, coatings, wood, nets, etc.), as well as leftover wool and wool purchased by all the participants.
So we began with the first MAJALIS Exhibition in 2023… Organized by Ricardo Cruzes and curated by architect Carlos Ribeiro at the Ethnographic Museum of Canha.
Our anniversary is celebrated in May, on a date to be determined. And it is in May because the lily of the valley (our Majalis) is the flower of May. However, this first anniversary was celebrated on June 1.
