On March 20, 2026, with the support of the Canha Parish Council, we celebrated Tree Day at the Canha Ethnographic Museum, which was kindly made available to us.
We planted a tree (Chorosia speciosa), there was a theater performance by “Carreta das Lendas” and Beatriz Boleto, a snack for everyone (Majalis) with juices and muscatel (provided by the Parish Council), and an exhibition featuring works created by groups of friends, associations, and institutions. The trees began to grow, their roots intertwined, and people grew closer together - that’s what Nature is all about! Unity!
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the groups that worked on this:
- Sala de Estudo/CATL Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Canha
- EB1 de Canha (directed by Prof. Carlos Veiga)
- “Guardiã do Bosque” (Alzira Carrilho, Cristina Comenda, João Barata, Vanda Pereira)
